Requiring photo ID to vote won’t fix anything

The new Republican secretary of state’s effort to curb voter fraud by requiring official photo identification before gaining access to the voting booth would make it more difficult for Kentuckians to vote in elections — particularly for the elderly, minorities and disabled populations. Michael Adams introduced the bill, which he said is meant to strengthen election security, during the opening day of the legislative session on Tuesday. The state can’t afford to fix something that is not broken.
